..that he couldn't see his shadow! So apparently, spring will come early this year. Carson, seeing as how he couldn't see past our front porch, told me that he welcomes spring and all that comes with it. I sense long walks, goose-chasing, games of fetch and an introduction to the dog park in our future. Until then, I guess we'll continue to shiver.
As you might have guessed, it is another snow day around here. I woke up and had the realization that if I did not leave the house today, I would go insane. So I ventured out to attack my car. It turns out, a broom works much better than my standard car scraper in this much snow.
After about 20 minutes of work, I took my car on a 20 second drive to another parking spot. I was proud of my wheels for being able to overcome the snow mountains that the plows left behind the car.
Now that I have a clean-ish car, I am trying to figure out where to go. I am planning on leaving for Chanute tomorrow. For now, it's another snow day. It does help to see Carson's excitement when he gets to eat the (non-yellow) snow. Dann brings him in "doggy ice cream", consisting of a big dog bowl full of snow with his food sprinkled on top. I wish I had a video of him attacking it last night. Instead, here are some more photos of our over-photographed little dog.
And just in case you are like me and need something to make you smile on this ice-cold, snow-packed day, take a look at this video. It was taken during Dann's birthday dinner at my parents' house. Carson absolutely loves my Dad. His tail goes on overdrive whenever he hears his voice. It might even melt your heart!
