Well, as it turns out, Dann and I are not very patient people, and we brought home Carson's sister tonight. Our little Finley is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. The breed is the only breed endemic to South Africa, and they were bred to hunt lions (sounds scary, but they are very gentle, people-friendly dogs). Her mama is about 70 pounds and her daddy about 80, so she will be quite a bit bigger than Carson! Carson is certainly busy being the alpha dog at this point, but I'm curious to see when this will change. Weighing in at 11.2 pounds at nearly 9 weeks old, Finley will soon give him a run for his money!
