I've been meaning to post pictures of our house for days now (okay, we just closed Wednesday, life has been a little crazy). Dann and I love this house, and I love the ideas I have for it. I used to rush off to Nordstrom to buy a new outfit; now a shopping trip is to Home Depot. The house has all of the "big" stuff done already. A new roof, newer HVAC, brand new windows. It just needed our personalization. The last owners had an interesting obsession with pink. I am not a pink kind of girl, and I can't wait to paint, paint, paint! We spent all weekend cleaning and moving in, and are finally somewhat settled. Nebraska Furniture Mart cannot deliver our furniture until mid-April, so until then, we are without bedroom or living room furniture (plus my new elliptical)! Carson and Finley are thrilled to have a backyard. There are dogs in nearly every backyard surrounding ours, and they love to run along the fence and play. I know home ownership will be a lot of work, but we are ready and excited.
The house is a nice size for us to grow into. There are 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom is on the main floor (which I love). The basement is partially finished, and Dann loves his "man cave" he is creating there. There is a second refrigerator and wet bar for him to continue to his brewing. He also is making a "gentleman's loft" in the attic. It's funny, what Dann thinks is important and what I think is important is VERY different when it comes to this house! While I race to paint every wall a neutral color and decorate, he wants to work on the attic. What a typical boy. I will post a few pictures now. I plan to post room-by-room as we work on each room. The kitchen comes first (thanks Mom, for helping me with primer today) and I hope to have before and after pictures very soon of pinkless cabinets, new tile, new stainless steel appliances, and NO wallpaper in our kitchen! But for now, here is a sample from our new home.

Our deck - brand new, and it seems to go on forever!

| The back of our new home. |

| Looking down from the upper level onto the main floor (the 3 bedrooms are upstairs). I LOVE the entryway floor! |
 |
| Pink laminate cabinets, with carpet, in the kitchen. Needless to say, I've already started demolishing this. |
 |
| Just in case you didn't believe me about the pink. |

Big huge perk - the HUGE master bathroom suite! There is a 90" his and hers vanity (pink unfortunately, but what else!?!) which leads from our master bedroom into this bathroom. Heaven. (Minus the pink).
