Yesterday, Dann and I celebrated our two year anniversary. Two years and two days ago, Dann sent me a text after a date that read, "So, are we like, bf/gf now?" I can still remember exactly where I was when I received that text (and how hard I laughed). I sent him something along the lines of "man up". The next night, March 21, he asked me to my face if we could consider ourselves an exclusive couple. I liked his methods much more that time, and said yes. It's all history now.

Fast forward two years. It hasn't all been blissful; we've had our share of fights. But I'd say we've had more than our fair share of fun and love as well. I don't like to be sappy, but man, do I LOVE this man! You know it is love when you can look at someone's quirky attributes and think they're just adorable. We've been through a lot together in two years. Tomorrow we close on our first home together, with our two puppies in tow. I'll finish school and start residency with Dann's support along the way. Dann has moved from Lawrence to Kansas City and started his job as an auditor (which I think he's pretty fabulous at) and discovered beer-brewing along the way. We have a short 66 days until our wedding and 68 days until Jamaica. It's a lot at once, but it's also a lot of FUN at once.
SO excited about our first wedding gift - two months out! Thanks Sam and Ben!
Dann and I decided our gift to each other for our second anniversary was our home (it IS kind of a big deal). Dann surprised me with Bavarian cream pancake poppers on Sunday as a mini weekend celebration, which were AMAZING and definitely not wedding-dress-diet friendly. They were so good that I scarfed them down and forgot to photo-document the evidence. It's probably better that way.
Another new wedding present Dann couldn't resist using early. A big thanks to Ken, Bettie, Tom & Tonya!
Dann's sweet note to me Sunday morning.
My sweet sleepers...Finley's job was to wake Dann up. As you can imagine, she didn't do her job very well, opting to snuggle under the blanket.
As for yesterday, our actual anniversary, we spent the evening enjoying a low-key dinner of salads and sandwiches and playing with the dogs. If you had told me several years ago that I would prefer staying in and preparing for our upcoming move rather than dining out at a fancy restaurant, I would have told you that you were insane and I would never act that OLD. Well, at 25, I guess I'm old, and I love it.
As Dann (crazily) put it, here's to two years....and eighty more!
